Publication and Event Sales Manager

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
To achieve agreed display advertisement and classified sales targets and ensure successful administration of all copy to meet the production  schedule.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  1. To achieve sales targets as agreed by the Director. This will be agreed annually & agreed monthly.
  2. To ensure that all client copy is received and sent to production within the magazine deadline.
  3. To accurately provide the relevant paperwork to the Journal Secretary for invoicing purposes.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  1.  Telephone liaison with both clients and agents.  This involves approximately 40 – 50 positive sales and follow up calls per day, whilst building up a rapport with clients / agents through regular contact.
  2. To ensure sufficient sales to achieve publication despatch date as advised annually.
  3. To ensure signed confirmation of orders are received and accurately administered before moving any  advertising copy to the production services.
  4. Responsible for sponsorship and ticket sales on a leading Awards Ceremony.
  5. To attend shows and exhibitions relevant to the Magazine you are working on.  You may be expected to spend some time away from home to attend these shows.
  6. To liaise with all magazine team members to ensure the smooth running of the publication.
  7. To know at all times the confirmed revenue for the current and future issues in addition to sales awaiting final processing.
  8. To occasionally carry out other duties, as are within your capabilities and level of responsibility, in order to meet the needs of the business.

Advertising Manager

Our Maidstone office is looking to recruit an experienced Advertising Manager to work on a thriving B2B market leading monthly magazine.

You will be responsible for managing client accounts both UK & abroad and will be expected to effectively retain and grow the existing customer base through reviewing and selling our portfolio of advertising and online products.

The ideal candidate will be;

  • Proactive in contacting existing customers to establish and build relationships.
  • Should have experience in recording information in relevant databases and ensure CRM’s are kept up to date.
  • Has consistently achieved set sales targets in a Telephone based sales environment.
  • Able to thrive in a hardworking and dynamic team.
  • Ability to manage customer expectations and deliver excellent service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
